I'm a traditional goldsmith. I craft jewelry out of precious metals.
The vast majority of my work is non cast. The metal is directly sculpted and soldered.
I especially love themes dragon and furry related.

What I can create:
Pendants, rings, bracelets, lockets. Most things really!
However I cannot do complex stone settings or hand engravings due to current lack of advanced tools.Commission process:
Message me your idea for your jewelry, if you don't have a very specific one I can work with artistic freedom as well. Don't be afraid to throw around ideas with me :3
I'll provide a very rough estimate of costs before we get very detailed about things. You'll get a rough digital sketch of what your piece will look like before that, if you want it.
Once we've agreed on the idea I'll calculate work costs and time estimate, then send you an invoice. I will start working once it's been paid.Prices for custom orders:
I charge 20$ an hour for labor cost. Material cost is added separately.
Gold and silver material costs depend on the daily price which can vary. I've linked a site with daily prices here.
The price quote I give you for a commission will not change even if daily prices change at a later time.Repairs are something I provide
I have plenty of experience with it. Contact me if you've got something that needs or might need fixing. Any questions are welcome.
A silver ring size-up generally costs around 20-60€. Mending a broken silver chain is generally 20€ per solder. Strengthening a worn out silver loop is 20€ per solder. More solders less overall costs.
There's a lot more types of jewelry I can repair, both in gold and silver. Feel free to inquire me for prices.Gemstones:
I have a small selection of gemstones which could be added to a jewelry piece for a cost. Ask me about it!
If you have your own gemstone(s) I can possibly work with that as well, depending on the complexity of it's shape and hardness. I can also possibly order custom ones from a separate store, depending on their supply.
Ever since I can remember, I've loved dragons. Like a lot! And as it happens, I share my enjoyment of shiny things with them. So much so that I want to make my own. Within the entire goldsmithing craft, creating dragons as jewelry pieces is what I enjoy most of all.To get where I am, I've been practicing since 2012. That includes repairing designing and creating jewelry. In 2019 I progressed from novice to journeyman. Now I hope to make my next step toward freedom by becoming independent and expressing myself as I always wanted. In order to design and produce custom-made pieces, I apply traditional techniques to precious metals. This includes hard-soldering, manual filing, casting, sometimes stonesetting, and more.

The process for a dragon pendant.
On my pc I start out making linework for the jewelry. I print it out and glue all the individual parts on top of a sheet of silver. Either made from scrap I've melted or ordered as is.I spend a lot of time sculpting and aligning all the parts so it fits well before the soldering. Very important is to have a perfect surface finish where you cant reach with your tools later on after the soldering is done.
You really don't want to attempt to file in a hard to reach spot. Surface finishing can be incredibly difficult then.
The most risky and difficult but also most enjoyable part of the process is the soldering. The basics of it is that you have multiple objects, usually two at a time, that you heat fuse together using a metal that has a slightly lower melting point (the solder). Flux protects the surfaces from contamination.I usually place the solder on to the objects as it's 50~ or so celsius from melting. It's a very intuitive skill and takes a lot of practice to understand when and how it flows. The melting point of sterling 925 silver is 893c. The solder (hard) has to be 788c to flow properly. If you burn a little to hard you risk destroying the whole thing. It's easy to mess up the surface if you're not super careful since it starts to deform as it approaches the melting point.
After soldering you need to get rid of the flux (left image), which you do by putting the whole object in acid. The bad part about this though is that it discolors the surface of the silver into white (right image). A reaction caused from the acid. You'll fix that with a lot of polishing. It doesn't actually damage the surface.Another bothersome thing about silver is that the 925 sterling silver alloy tends to get a very slightly darker hue at the surface as you heat it up. If you heat things up evenly and don't file, or polish too much afterwards, that's no problem. However if you do that you'll notice a spot where it's now a very slightly brighter hue than everywhere else.
This can all be fixed by heating everything up again (+more polishing) or by electroplating with silver, but that's not something I do.Polishing a dragon pendant like this one can take a while since reaching into all those nooks can be difficult. I often poke at things for a while with a tiny little brush.
Taking photos can be soooo difficult haha. The surface of the jewelry is completely reflective so make sure to have surfaces all around that reflect an even color/contrast.
